Local PR in Scotland for Amateur golf tournament

Hundreds of young golfers from around the world are set to take part in the biggest and best European tournament this June.

The U.S. Kids Golf European Tournament has already seen 515 players sign up, more than ever before for the competition which will be played at some of the most picturesque courses in Scotland.

Young golfers will make the trip from as far afield as Guam, Venezuela and Australia to play for the title of ‘European champion.’ The winner will get the chance to compete in the U.S. Kids golf world championships.

Dan Van Horn, U.S. Kids Golf president and founder said: “The European Championship has been growing in strength from year to year and the sharp rise in participant interest in 2012 clearly demonstrates its growing reputation.

“The number of registrations is amazing, especially when you consider we still have [more than a month] to go until the tournament.”

Alasdair Good, Tournament coordinator and head pro at Gullane Golf Club said: “Sitting at more than 500 participants at this stage in the event is a huge milestone for us. East Lothian’s historic courses always provide a stunning setting and a great challenge for all of the competitors.”

This coverage was secured with the East Lothian Courier as part of a sustained PR campaign carried out by Holyrood PR on behalf of U.S. Kids Golf European Tournament.
