FOUR LEGGED SURFER DUDE (Andrea)

You probably thought it was impressive when you taught your dog to sit, beg and roll over. Well, this is your next challenge. This little Bulldog can surf and skateboard it’s little paws off. What’s amazing is when he’s on the skateboard he can steer and gradually pick up speed by pushing off and then turning round when it reaches the edge of the skating park. This is one talented pooch – marvel in his gloriousness.

THIRD LUCKY WIN FOR “SELFISH” LOTTERY HOGS (Adrian)

Most of us are wishing for that one lucky break that will see the lottery balls align and send us into a future of riches and prosperity – but that we secretly know will never, ever happen.

So vent your fury at the American family that has not just had one lucky lottery win, but is celebrating their THIRD big jackpot. North Carolina resident Kimberley McCauley has won $100,000 in her states new scratchcard game – and follows in the footsteps of her mother, who not only won $161,000 in the state lottery in 2007, but also scooped a mega jackpot of £15.5 million in the New York lotto in 1991.

North Carolina lottery spokesman Ryan Kennemur said that the pair were quite calm when collecting the latest prize – adding “once you’ve won the lottery twice, what’s a third time?”. Jammy swine…

AMERICAN PERFORMS OPERATION WITH BUTTER KNIFE (Pamela)

This poor man from California got so frustrated waiting on an ambulance that he set to work on removing his own hernia using a butter knife.  Don’t fancy spreading anything on my toast in his house.  He probably burst his spots with the crockery.  Hard task but achievable….

A TRAMP AND HIS LAMP (Laura)

4,500 people have joined an online campaign to allow Gordon Roberts a tramp from Bournemouth to be the official Torch Bearer for the town at the 2012 Olympics. The campaign was started by friends Looby Ratcliffe and Jade Reynolds, who describe Gordon as one of the nicest most genuine men they have ever met and many of his fans think he is an inspiration and a true representation of Bournemouth and that’s not all Gordon can also give you the right time whenever you ask him even though he doesn’t wear a watch. The girls started the facebook page on a bit of a whim and were shocked at the reaction they received. When the Daily Mail article went to print the page had 4,500 fans and now in less than 24 hours it has over 4,700 – a great example of a community getting behind one of their residents, even if he doesn’t have a home.

THE ESSENCE OF TWITTER CAPTURED – IN 140 IMAGES (Scott)

It is my good fortune that I worked for a while with photographer Michal Hughes. He’s an outstanding professional with a superb eye and was a popular colleague when he worked with us on various projects at Holyrood PR.

Now he is keeping things interesting in London, where he has launched Tweeter Street. The concept is brilliantly simple – photograph Twitter users at the scene of their Tweet.

The portraits so far are excellent – each one accompanied by the Tweet which inspired it. They put Twitter into context and when Mick has completed 140, there will be a book and an exhibition.
