Volunteer Appeal Attracts Press

on behalf of Bield Housing And Care
On Monday, Holyrood Partnership posted on behalf of Bield’s Retirement Housing development in a bid to seek out volunteers for the community at Saunders Court in Corstorphine. Since then, the appeal has received coverage across a range of platforms, particularly within the Housing community.
Only a few hours a month is required and will involve helping with various activities including games nights, as well as special occasion dinners such as Burns night and Christmas.
The reason for this increasing help stems from the success of weekly coffee mornings which allow residents to socialise with their neighbours and get out within the community.
The benefit of these events is clear, it allows the tenants at Saunders Court to spend time with the other residents and get them out of the house and involved in games, conversations and having fun.
If you are over 16 and are keen to help enrich the lives of Scotland’s older people, contact Volunteer Development Worker, Donna Dickson for further details on 0131 273 4095 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org
