Volunteer Appeal Attracts Press

Bield Housing And Care Media Coverage

SFHA Coverage BieldOn Monday, Holyrood PR posted on behalf of Bield’s Retirement Housing development in a bid to seek out volunteers for the community at Saunders Court in Corstorphine.  Since then, the appeal has received coverage across a range of platforms, particularly within the Housing community.

This coverage will be extremely helpful in Bield’s search for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers, who will be responsible for helping out with social activities at the development.Housing - Saunders Court

Only a few hours a month is required and will involve helping with various activities including games nights, as well as special occasion dinners such as Burns night and Christmas.

The reason for this increasing help stems from the success of weekly coffee mornings which allow residents to socialise with their neighbours and get out within the community.

AMS Release - Bield VolunteersThe benefit of these events is clear, it allows the tenants at Saunders Court to spend time with the other residents and get them out of the house and involved in games, conversations and having fun.

The appeal has received coverage from All Media Scotland, Housing News and the Scottish Federation of Housing Associations.  To read the full story, see the press release here.
