UK Enquiry Hub Smashes £1million Milestone

Sodexo Prestige Press releases

Austin TilsleyOne of the UK’s largest hospitality and dining giants is celebrating after its new service helped secure more than £1,000,000 revenue in just six months.

The significant milestone figure comes after Sodexo Prestige created a dedicated enquiry hub service which acts as the first point of contact for enquiries from UK Conference and Event Agencies.

The “Hub”- which is based in South Queensferry-facilitates enquiries for 50 high-profile venues where it operates, including Ascot Racecourse, Dundas Castle and Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh.

Rolled out to the UK market in January 2014, the new service has boosted both the conference and events revenue side of the business and helped strengthen relationships with conference agents across the country.

Now Sodexo Prestige is on track to meet its remaining 12 month target of £2.7million by the end of 2014.

Austin Tilsley, regional director of Sodexo Prestige in Scotland, said: “We are thrilled to have hit our £1,000,000 target in such a short period of time after the launch of the new enquiry hub. The new service has been a huge investment but these figures once again reinforce all the hard work and innovation displayed by the team making it such a profitable move forward for the company.

“All of our venues across the UK have seen great benefits to this new service being implemented including increased revenue and heightened customer satisfaction so it’s reassuring to see the service hit the ground running so quickly.

“Hopefully this initial success will set the pace for the rest of the year and see us beat our annual £2.7million target and further strengthen and improve the relationships we have built with UK venue finding agents.”

One of the main driving forces behind introducing the hub was to ensure the customer experience was as seamless as possible and take away endless calls to various venues. Stephanie Lee, the account manager who heads up the new enquiry hub,has been meticulously planning to ensure the new service has been as successful as possible and that it meets this customer orientated objective.

She said: “The feedback of the new service so far has been tremendous. The agents we have strong relationships with have all praised the services’ ease of use, the professional and knowledgeable staff that they have dealt with and the diverse and wide ranging portfolio of clients, from castles and museums to stadia that we have to offer.

“To see us smashing the £1,000,000 target so early in the financial year is just fantastic and is testimony to how we are operating with all of our clients. We brought in this new centralised point to help cut out multiple phone calls and ensure this one-stop shop continues to build on our relationships with agents to find the right venues, on time and on budget.

“After this first financial success we are really looking forward to see what the rest of the year has to bring and hope to go above and beyond our targets set out.”

Sodexo Prestige chose to base the new “Hub” in Scotland because of the consistent successes delivered by its expert team north of the Border and comes as the company launches a new conference and events customer focused service called Prestige Venues & Events.
