SOCIAL NETWORKING NAILS (Lewis)

That’s right ladies, what better way to show off the newest social networking sites than having the logos and designs on your nails. This video and selection of photos show you how to transform those boring nails into works of social media art. So you could be FLICKR-ing your boogies or chewing your Facebook. Will woman wan to wear nails like this? Or even men for that matter. Whatever the end result may be it seems that these social networking giants are getting into ever cracked nail. http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/network-nail-art

JAFFA GERMS (Gaynor)

As much as I love the idea of a lickable Jaffa cake lift I’m not sure how much I would like to be licking other people’s germs. Communications firm Engine didn’t seem to have a problem with it after they had over 1300 Jaffa cakes put into its lifts. McVitie’s Jaffa Cake chief Pippa Tilley thought the installation of the chocolate treat to the company lifts was a great idea and admitted that it’s the perfect way to bring a little joy to stressed out workers. Not so sure they will be happy when they are stuck in bed with the dreaded lurgy.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2130829/Need-mood-lift-Office-firm-install-worlds-LICKABLE-elevator-lined-1-325-Jaffa-Cakes.html

HUMAN CHAMELEON (Victoria)

I have neither the patience nor skill to spend hours in front of the mirror applying make up. But the ability to totally transform yourself with the aid of some creams, powders and brushes fascinates me all the same.Nepalese-American, Promise Tamang Phang has racked up 96 million views of her beauty tutorials since she began in June 2009.She claims she is not a professional, but can morph into Angelina Jolie, Megan Fox, Kate Middleton, Scarlett Johansson, and even Drake and Michael Jackson with a few strokes of a brush.http://www.youtube.com/user/dope2111?feature=watch

A THIEF WITH A HEART? (Laura)

Came across this small story on Deadline News today about a bike theif who had a change of heart and decided to return the stolen property to its owner. Not only that by the theif even left a note apologising along with a chocolate bar!  http://www.deadlinenews.co.uk/2012/04/17/thief-leaves-apology-note-after-returning-stolen-bike/

SOCK FULL OF ART (Aimee)

The internet is constantly buzzing with people using everyday items to create the bizarre and this story is no exception. Watch as we see artist known as Red Hong create a portrait of famous Chinese film director Zhang Yimou using an assortment of socks! The piece was inspired when she first moved to Shanghai and stumbled across an old residential alleyway and saw bamboo sticks poking out of windows with laundry hanging onto them, waving in the air.Amazing piece of work showing there are really no limits when it comes to creation. I reckon I might be able to find enough odd socks knocking about to make a stab myself!http://www.ohiseered.com/2012/04/zhang-yimou-portraitmade-of-bamboo.html
