TAKING GREEN CAR TO RIDICULOUS LEVEL (PAMELA)
This young man has taken the term ‘green car’ to another level by covering his Skoda Felicia with fake grass and adding a flag and bunker to complete. The weirdest thing about this story is this wee chap doesn’t even play golf. It all becomes clear when reading his current employment status – film extra. My guess is that this was one of many attempts to raise his own profile….PR at its strangest.

ON A WING AND A PRAYER – WHY BIRDS FLY INTO BUILDINGS (SCOTT)
Ever seen those eerie images of ghostly, bird impressions on windows ? They are left by bird strikes, when our winged and feathered friends fly into glass. Turns out that birds flying into buildings and large manmade objects causes carnage in avian numbers, with endangered species among those suffering. Now experts are seeking to explain why some birds can effortlessly track even the smallest moving objects – but can’t see great big static structures right in front of them.

MOVIE RELEASE DATE (LINSAY)
For all you movie buffs – this is definitely one to keep an eye out for. Following the success of The Lord of the Rings films, Peter Jackson has gone into the fantasy world of Tolkien’s The Hobbit to create his own version of the famous children’s tale. Although filming has finally started, we’ll have to wait until 2012 before it hits the big screen.
