RE-CASTED MOVIES WITH MUPPETS (Lewis)

Who doesn’t love the Muppets? From the cameo appearances on television, to their blockbuster movie hits such as ‘Treasure Island’ and ‘A Muppets Christmas Carol’ those fuzzy friends have been in all our lives at one point or another. But, what would it be like if you swapped a Muppets character in a well known and changed the title of the movie? Well, artist Kenny Durkin has created his take on what a lead-role muppet film would look like. Can you think of any better ones?

I YABADABA-DO (Melissa)

Going to the chapel and we’re going to get married…with 50 Jedis and Sith Lords and Chewbacca as best man while Darth Vader makes a speech. Each to their own. I mean, I’m not the kind of girl who has always dreamt of her wedding day, what I’m going to wear, flowers etc, but at least these quirky couples have put the effort it. From the Flintstones theme to Indiana Jones flower balls, these people have made their special day one to remember. Number ten on this list has to be my favourite though. Top marks for the face paint.

BUSINESS MUSTS TO AVOID BUSINESS BUSTS (Sarah)

I have always dreamed about starting my own business, but I could never decide what I wanted to do, make or provide (oo-er) so unfortunately the idea of my own business seems destined to remain a pipe dream. However, for those of you with a real idea and drive, why not check out this useful article on the conversations that need to happen when anyone starts up a business? These conversations are:  Who’s contributing what? What’s the value of these contributions (who gets paid what)? How will decisions get made? How can you terminate the agreement? On second thoughts, I have always enjoyed making sandwiches…

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY FROM BOOTS (Aoibhínn)

I’m sure there is no need to remind any of you that Mother’s Day is fast approaching, but have you sorted out your gift yet? High street chemist Boot’s seem to have got the wrong end of the stick when it concerns gifts for your doting mum. The guys at the Huffington Post highlighted Boot’s shocking suggestions of what to get your mum for Mother’s Day. I’m sorry Boots, I’m pretty sure no mums will be interested in slimming pills, condoms or Canesten. OK so I know it’s most likely the case that Boot’s simply wanted to remind customers of the date…but still sort it out lads!
