Catering Giants Served with winning headlines by public relations agency in Edinburgh
Our PR agency is recognised as one of the best in Scotland with a string of Gold and Silver PR awards. We want to take you Behind the Bling and explain what that mean for real businesses a lot like yours. We deliver measurable results, like more sales or more website traffic. If you’ve considered PR, our Behind the Bling series will help answer your questions.
Even in these days of Facebook billionaires, a million quid is still a very impressive sum. It’s even more satisfying when it is double what you hoped for.
How chuffed would you be if your business launched a new product, set a tough financial performance target – then smashed it by 100% thanks to a successful PR campaign?
Well, that’s exactly what our Scottish public relations agency helped deliver for the hospitality and catering giant Sodexo, when it relaunched its premium service offering as Prestige Venues & Events (PV&E).
The formal launch was to take place in Edinburgh, coinciding with the opening of the company’s new ‘Enquiry Hub’ at South Queensferry, a centralised service acting on behalf of all its UK venues including The Churchill War Rooms, Dundas Castle and Ascot Racecourse.
Holyrood Partnership provides PR support for Sodexo Prestige in Scotland so took on two month challenge to promote the launch of PV&E in tandem with the launch of the new Scottish call centre. The campaign was a runaway success, exceeding all of the pre-agreed targets.
While the objectives was to deliver a 40% increase in high-quality, pre-qualified business leads to the ‘Hub’, Sodexo Prestige estimates the PR campaign generated 80% of all new business enquiries.
The results of that were equally impressive. In the first six months of operation the Hub generated £1 million worth of new business – double the original target.
But the financial figures weren’t the only stunning results. We were charged with ensuring maximum attendance at the glitzy launch event in Edinburgh’s impressive Assembly Rooms. Thanks to our extensive PR campaign all 200 places were snapped up and the event was heavily oversubscribed.
We also smashed the target for 13 items of coverage – delivering at least 27 media hits before and after the event including multiple mentions in the all-important trade media, vital for driving leads to the Enquiry Hub.
Bosses at Sodexo weren’t the only people impressed by Holyrood Partnership’s silver service – judges at the 2014 CIPR Scotland PR Awards gave the campaign silver in the prestigious Corporate and Business Communications category.
