Panton McLeod coverage in the Bristol Evening PostWater quality engineering firm Panton McLeod has hit the headlines again, after its innovative underwater robots were featured in the Bristol Evening Post.

The newspaper reported on how Panton McLeod had carried out a showcase of its robot technology for Bristol Water, which the firm hopes will lead to future work in the area.

Under the test, Panton McLeod demonstrated how its VR600 robot can be remotely operated to clean the floors of underground storage tanks called service reservoirs, where drinking water is kept before being sent to customers’ taps. By using the machines, water companies are able to save time and money when cleaning the structures – as the tanks do not need to be taken off-line and there is no disruption to supplies.
