The Forth One DJ, who is also the face of the station’s Cash 4 Kids campaign, gave his thanks to Vittoria owner Tony Crolla for introducing the kids eat for £1 deal – which has already raised more than £1000 for the charity.

Under the deal, children can have a full meal from the extensive menus at Vittoria and La Favorita for just £1, provided they are accompanied by an adult dining from the a la carte menu. All of the money paid for the children’s deal is then donated to the Radio Forth Cash 4 Kids campaign, which helps vulnerable children across the Capital.

Grant said: “It’s a great deal – every time an adult eats at Vittoria, the kids eat for just a pound. Tony then takes that pound and gives it to the Cash 4 Kids campaign, so its good news for everyone.

“Tony has a substantial kids menu at the Vittoria restaurants and it is great food, so it’s not a bad bit of business for charity.”
