Property Maintenance Experts Ask Are You A Landlord?

One Call Home Assist is supported by Scottish PR experts Holyrood PRA leading Scottish property maintenance firm has received an overwhelming boost to its business thanks to a new eye-catching motif on its fleet of vehicles.

Edinburgh-based One Call Home Assist has been inundated with calls from homeowners, property managers and landlords in recent months, who have been enquiring about the firm’s services after seeing its distinct vans on the road.

The firm, which was set up earlier this year as a low-cost alternative to costly maintenance contracts such as those offered by the likes of British Gas and Homeserve, has recently carried out a major re-branding project aimed at helping it expand its services across the country.

As part of the initiative, the company has emblazoned the question “Are you a landlord?” on the back of its vehicles in order to attract the attention of prospective customers.

And directors at the firm have been left amazed after the number of enquiries received from landlords and property owners more than doubled after the motifs were introduced.

Van success for Edinburgh property maintenance company

National sales director John Dickson said: “We’ve had an unbelievable response to our new vehicles over the past few months. We recently re-branded our fleet with a new logo and brand new liveries, and they have proved to be very eye catching.

“However, one of the most popular things we have introduced is a motif on the back of our vans which reads ‘Are you a landlord?’. It’s a very striking image that has led to a huge rise in the number of calls that we’ve received.

“Around half of the enquiries that we’re getting now are from people who have seen the vans and want to know more. As there’s not much else on the back of the vans apart from the question ‘are you a landlord?’ and our phone number, many people are calling our phone line to find out more.

“Most of them are landlords in Edinburgh, the Lothians and Fife who are looking for new ways to make their properties more profitable. When they phone up, we tell them about our maintenance contracts and they are blown away by how good a deal we are offering.

“We’ve also had calls from property managers, as well as normal homeowners who are looking for more info after seeing the slogan on our vehicles. We’re delighted with the response and are looking forward to seeing even more interest as we continue to expand across Scotland and the rest of the UK.”

PR success for One Call Home Assist

One Call Home Assist was launched in March 2009 as a value-for-money rival to expensive maintenance and repair contracts offered by firms such as British Gas and Homeserve.

With its fixed-price contracts, all emergency repair work to electrical, plumbing and heating systems is covered, as well as general maintenance issues.  They also cover all compliance certification including gas safety certificates, Energy Performance certificates and Electrical PAT testing.

The company offers a range of fixed prices contracts depending on size of the property and type of maintenance cover required – with an all-in contract for a one-bed flat costing £32.99 a month (inc VAT).  All the work is carried out by One Call Home Assist’s expert in-house contractor teams who operate on a round the clock basis from their headquarters in Edinburgh.

Recently, the firm embarked on an ambitious expansion plan which is intended to grow One Call Home Assist across the whole of Scotland and the rest of the UK. In the first phase of the plan, the company invested £200,000 on a complete re-branding of all of its promotional materials and moved into a new headquarters in west Edinburgh.

One Call Home Assist was launched by One Call Trade Services, one of Scotland’s leading all trades contractors providing insurance repairs, maintenance and renovations to clients throughout the UK.
