PR Care Bear bunch didn’t want Chris to miss out on furry friends fiesta
Meet Chris Fairbairn – the newest member of the team at Holyrood Partnership, our PR agency in Edinburgh.
We’d also like you to meet his teddy bear, Gilbert.
Chris joined our merry public relations team this week as a junior account executive. Gilbert came along for a wee nosey.
Alas, Chris’s arrival at Holyrood PR Towers on December 1 meant he was just a tad too late to feature in our #PRToyStories blog post.
We wanted to share our cuddly toy stories as a celebration of the recent PR success enjoyed by two blockbusters, toy-themed adverts – the John Lewis festive story featuring Monty the penguin and the very clever Freeview TV campaign featuring the #SingingToys
Hopefully you’ve already checked out our post and tried to match the HPR staffers with their cuddly toys? Watch this space as we’ll shortly be revealing the correct order.
But before then we wanted to let you know what to expect in our big reveal by telling you the back story of Chris and his furry friend.
Chris has had Gilbert for as long as he can remember and the lovable brown bear has played a massive part in his life.
He was with Chris as he grew up on the other side of the border in Berwick. He was with him as he developed his lifelong love of Newcastle United. He was even with him during the long (and chilly) years he spent studying at Aberdeen University.
In fact Chris believes it is all thanks to Gilbert that he has turned into the fine young man he is today. He said: “Gilbert was a great role model for me growing up, and has taught me a great deal about gentlemanly conduct.”
We’re all one big family at Holyrood PR, so we’ve welcomed Chris on board as he starts this latest chapter in life. And since we intend to keep Chris very busy indeed, Gilbert will have lots of lovely free time to pursue other interests.
Such as relaxing in his silk gown with a glass of scotch and the telegraph crossword on his lap, while wafting around the luxury apartment he shares with Chris – all the while exuding the manly smell of the Old Spice he applies liberally every morning.
Ahhhh. It really is teddy bear bliss.
