Cat poses for Edinburgh PR Agency Photo

LAST time you were introduced to our Digital Expert, Kenny Murray. This week we meet the newest member of the Holyrood team, Cat Timoney.

Find out more about our digital expert KennKenny Murray of Holyrood PR in Edinburgh, Scotlandy. His love of boxing and how he got his nickname ‘Kenny Bongos’.

Cat joined us following a successful internship and has enjoyed getting involved with the range of clients here at Holyrood PR.

Cat graduated from the University of Aberdeen last year with a degree in Politics and Sociology. As a newbie to the world of PR, she has enjoyed getting  involved with the team helping to secure excellent coverage for our clients.

Q. What do you enjoy most about your job?

I really enjoy writing press releases and seeing them get good coverage. It’s really nice to call the people you have been writing stories for and tell them their story is in the newspaper. It’s always great to hear them excited and keen to run out and get a paper.

Q. What do you enjoy most when you’re not in the office?

I like spending time with my friends, family and dogs, going to the cinema and reading.
Cat poses with hair for Edinburgh PR Agency StoryQ. Tell us something not many people know about you?

I recently chopped off a lot of my hair and donated it to the Little Princess Trust. There was something very odd about putting a pleat of my own hair in an envelope and posting it, it definitely seemed like something a serial killer would do.

Q. What would you define as the highlight of your career so far?

I haven’t been with the team for very long so I’m still learning the ropes. Last week a story we did on an Alpaca trek got a front page hit in the Evening News which I was pretty pleased with.

Q. If you were able to read one newspaper for the rest of your life, what would it be?

At the moment I really like the Press and Journal, maybe because I studied in Aberdeen I like to keep up to date with what’s going on up there!

Q. When the office tea-round comes around, what is your drink of choice?

Always tea, no sugar and the shade of a digestive biscuit.

Q. And outside of work?

I’m a big fan of red wine although I do like a cocktail every now and again if I’m feeling fancy.

Q. You have one superpower, which superpower do you have, and how do you use it?

I think it would be so cool to be able to speak every language in the world. Then you could talk to anyone and everyone and never feel like a Brit abroad when you go on holiday!
