EDINBURGH’s newest style bar has been glowingly reviewed following the venue’s successful launch night thanks to Scottish PR

Rory McWhirter and Rowan Milne of fledgling company L.A White Leisure, officially launched the bar in November, providing students and young professionals in Edinburgh with a cool urban luxorious setting in which to drink, dine and dance.

The bar has created something of a stir in the Edinburgh media as it’s exclusive design features, as well as quality food and drink offering, makes it a style bar like no other and aims to compete with some of the big hitters in the George Street area.

Attracting big names such as Timorous Beasties, who provided an exclusive Edinburgh Toile wall covering and Veuve Cliquot who are the official sponsors of the upstairs champagne bar area, the presentation of the bar oozes style and luxury.

The progress of the bar hasn’t been easy and in a series of weekly video blogs, the blood sweat and tears of the duo has been shown reflecting the bar’s progress from an empty shell to a glamorous style bar. Videos can be viewed on Hyde Out’s facebook page.

Thanks to the work of our Scottish PR experts, the launch generated the following media coverage:

Hyde Out’s stunning interior design features a strong contrast of colours and vibrant bespoke graphics, fused with an eclectic and elegant mix of furniture to help create a cool urban setting.

Its exclusive fixtures and fittings only enhance the features that include a new Timorous Beasties Edinburgh Toile vinyl wall covering and artwork designed by Edinburgh based graphic designers, 16K Design Works and a chandelier made out of 600 crystal cut champagne glasses designed by John Harrington.

Rory McWhirter director of LA White Leisure – the firm behind the bar – is quoted in the article saying: “Some of the features are a bit out there, but that is exactly what we wanted a design like no other for a bar like no other.”

The Bang and Olufsen speakers installed in the Edinburgh Quay venue have ground-breaking technology that adjusts volume levels to adapt to the number of people in the area.

In turn, the speakers will help those in search of a partner – as other bars prevent couples talking as the music is too loud.

Hyde Out launched in early November with a successful launch night – over 300 guests braved stormy weather to attend, showing the bar’s appeal to it’s clientele. On the night guests were treated to a free champagne reception as well as a selection of canapes and luxury chocolates by highland chocolatier Iain Burnett.
