UK vibration firm Reactec has received a high profile piece of coverage in the specialist construction press for its innovative HAVmeter safety system.

The firm was featured in the online pages of Materials Handling World magazine – which is read by thousands of people in the construction and materials handling sectors – after providing an extensive analysis article on the dangers of hand arm vibration syndrome among workers using vibrating tools.

Jim O’Hagan, managing director of Reactec’s HAVmeter division and the author of the article, said that too many firms in the construction and manufacturing sectors were failing to keep their workforces adequately safe from injury – despite the risk of them contracting heavy fines for failing to meet acceptable limits for vibration set by the HSE.

He added that many firms were merely “box-ticking” when it came to safety, rather than acting as responsible employers and implementing the best safety systems for staff.

The full article can be viewed on the Materials Handling World website and was the result of a sustained public relations strategy for Reactec which is managed by Holyrood PR PR and social media in Scotland.
