Hamish Haggis, the international fundraising teddy bear, was in Dunfermline taking part in a fundraiser to raise money for Bield’s Gillie Court Care House.

As reported in The Courier, Hamish took part in a sponsored relay across the Forth Road Bridge for the Bield Care Home.

Hamish lives with Dorothy Rosiejak who has links with the home and will take part in the 12 mile journey from Gillie Court, across the bridge and back.

Dorothy said: “My mother has lived here for six years.

“I’m full of admiration for the staff so I wanted to do something nice for them.”

The final total is expected to be over £500 with all proceeds going to the Bield Care Home.

The full coverage can be read in The Courier and was secured on behalf of Bield thanks to Holyrood Partnership.
