Gold And Silver Awards To Holyrood PR Team For Public Relations And Social Media In Scotland

Press releases

Award winning PR in ScotlandThe Holyrood PR team has celebrated a double success after picking up gold and silver accolades at the Scottish PR industry’s annual awards ceremony.

Holyrood PR and social media experts were nominated for three awards at the CIPR PRide Awards 2011 in Glasgow and were rewarded by a panel of PR experts in two out of the three categories.

Account Manager Laura Berry was the biggest winner on the Holyrood PR team, scooping the prestigious Young Communicator of the Year title.

The gold award recognises the best PR practitioners in Scotland aged below 30 and was the culmination of her work over the past year managing social media and PR strategies for clients such as DFDS Seaways and Vittoria.

Earlier in the night, Holyrood PR was also rewarded with a silver award in the Best Use of Social Media category, in recognition of the successful Facebook and Twitter campaigns that it ran for the Vittoria and La Favorita restaurants.

The team also celebrated being shortlisted in the Best Consumer PR category for its sterling work in promoting Edinburgh’s boutique wine bar, Divino Enoteca.

In addition to the official awards, Holyrood PR team proved no slouches in the current affairs quiz which kicked off the event at the Radisson Hotel.

One of the highlights of the night, the quiz is notoriously difficult and Holryood PR beat off 30 other tables of Scotland’s leading PR professionals in a series of general knowledge and current affairs questions to win a round of champagne.

Congratulations to all of the team and, in particular, to Laura for her individual award. The trophy will be taking pride of place in our awards cabinet very soon.
