Flying dildo at Russian press conference

Tthe team at Holyrood PR spends every day working on stories – so we like to think we’ve got an eye for quirky, interesting or just downright enjoyable tales. So, we share the five links which have caught our attention, featuring the latest news, videos, social media and photography. Why don’t you drop us a line and let us know what you’ve been viewing?

MANAGERIAL MERRY-GO-ROUND (Adrian)

Coventry City have sacked their manager Aidy Boothroyd  this morning – the 10th boss they have fired in as many years. However, the more worrying statistic is that Boothroyd is the 35th manager to have left their current club this season, across the top 4 divisions in England. THE BONNY, BONNY, BAN OF LOCH LOMOND (Scott)

Campers have been told they’re no longer welcome on a stretch of Scotland’s most famous beauty spot. Despite being immortalised in song, the Bonny Banks of Loch Lomond are now off-limits to tent dwellers, as part of a crackdown on ‘irresponsible campers”

SOCIAL SAVVY CAMERON (Scott)

David Cameron has reinforced his creds as a social media savvy political leader. In this video for YouTube’s World View Programme, he sat down with Al Jazeera reporter Kamahl Santamaria to face a 25 minute interview – with questions crowd-sourced via text, Tweets, email and even YouTube videos. It’s already had almost 450,000 views.

NOT JUST MAN’S BEST FRIEND (Laura)

As a dog lies injured on one of America’s busiest highways after being hit by a truck – watch out for who comes to his aid. A true buddy if ever we saw one! Also a great piece of video viral magic captured by a CCTV camera – it just goes to show you don’t always need fancy video equipment to make a watchable video.
