Donal Hurrell, General Manager at The Three Sisters, said: “Edinburgh is one of the best places to celebrate St Patrick’s Day outside of Ireland and this weekend proved to be one of the best ones yet with great entertainment, great craic and of course the breaking of a world record.

“It was without a doubt one of our busiest days of the year so far and even despite the bad weather which saw heavy rain and snow showers, we still had a fantastic turn out and we even reached full capacity by three in the afternoon!

“Thanks to everyone who came along and celebrated with us and a big thanks to all the acts which made it a weekend to remember.”
