A popular new St Andrew’s eatery has raised vital funds for charity by adding a quirky dish to its menu.
Forgan’s bar on Market Street, presented a cheque for £733 to Families First – cash raised solely from sales of its ‘Double Duck’ pie.
A firm favourite with locals, the pie is a seasonal take on shepherd’s pie, substituting traditional lamb for duck. The unusual dish instantly ruffled some feathers – in a positive way- to become the most popular talking point with diners.
News of this charity donation was featured in local newspaper, St Andrews Citizen as well as online on St Andrews Today’s website.
