Courier Firm Goes Back To School

Eagle Couriers Press releases

HellmailCourier Firm Donates for PR Scotland Coverage.

The director of one of Scotland’s largest independent courier firms, Eagle Couriers, made a generous donation to his primary school as part of a corporate commitment to the local community.

Jerry Stewart, who was a pupil at Townhead Primary over fifty years ago relived his fond childhood memories during his visit to the Coatbridge based school.

During his visit he presented them with a cheque for £100 to cover transport and ticket costs for a series of educational trips.

The donation comes after the courier boss reached out last year and covered the costs of a trip for 25 Primary two pupils to attend a special workshop at Summerlee museum. The £100 will now allow two classes to attend further workshops at the museum as part of their learning curriculum.

Jerry said: “It’s great that I am able to continue supporting Townhead, as I have fond memories of being there when I was younger. Returning to the school over 50 years later brought back some happy childhood memories.

“Townhead is a fantastic school which is always looking for innovative ways to deliver its education remit and enhance learning for the pupils, which is why we are delighted to be able to support them further in this.

Eagle Couriers recently made a donation to Summerlee museum and their project to regenerate the old Monkland’s Canal area and are hoping to continue working with the museum, supporting them on a variety of similar projects.

Eagle Couriers is Scotland’s leading courier firm with over 30 years’ experience. More information about the company can be found at http://www.eaglecouriers.co.uk.
