An amazing gallon-sized cocktail shaker at the relaunched Rick’s bar in Edinburgh has captured headlines in Scotland’s most influential drinks industry publication.

The Scottish Licensed Trade News has featured a story about the new “cobbler” shaker – specially sourced from New York – which is one of the classy twists helping to redefine the bar after a decade as a style leader.

Rick’s has undergone a £150,000 refit which includes a chic-yet-unerstated new edge to its decor, as well as a comprehensive and unusual new cocktail list.

The bar team at the venue are led by award-winning mixologist Mal Spence, who is picture in the SLTN article wielding the gallon-sized cocktail shaker.
