Charities Profit From Prime Real Estate

Boyd Legal Press releases

Gerry Cockburn Poses for Scottish PR storyA SCOTTISH business charity has become the first to benefit from a leading law firm’s offer to give up its prime city centre office premises as a free meeting space.

Quality Scotland – which provides businesses with expertise and resources for continuous performance improvement – used the Queensferry Street office of Boyd Legal for their Cross Sector Network meeting, providing a platform for businesses to broaden their contacts and receive expert advice.

Managing Director Peter Boyd said they hope to welcome further approaches from other worthy causes to use its boardroom space.

He said: “We are more than happy to give complementary use of our office to some of the wonderful charitable institutions who make a real difference in Edinburgh and beyond.

“Being ideally situated in the West End of Edinburgh, we think this is a fabulous opportunity for groups or bodies who want to meet in the city centre but are put off by high hire charges or the lack of availability.

Charities looking for a space in Edinburgh need only contact Boyd Legal to book a date, subject to availability. The room has capacity for 55 people and is available five days a week.

Angela Howarth, Head of Membership Services for Quality Scotland, said: “We are delighted to receive this offer of a meeting space, and to also welcome Boyd Legal as the newest Quality Scotland member.  They will join a whole host of organisations from across the sectors who are striving to achieve excellence.

“Quality Scotland is committed to supporting our members to improve performance, deliver quality and achieve sustainable business excellence.  We look forward to working with them.”

Quality Scotland are a charitable, member-based organisation working across Scotland – in the private, public and third sectors.

They offer a range of performance improvement tools, recognition schemes and accredited training and development programmes as well as other online resources, all supported by dedicated Account Management.

Boyd Legal began life as Boyd Property in 2004 – primarily as estate and letting agents – but rebranded as Boyd Legal and moved into new showpiece offices in Edinburgh’s Queensferry Street in 2015.
