CALA Homes (East) Forecast Property Trends For 2015 – Part Exchange Growth To Continue

House hunters looking for property advice in 2015 have been given a helping hand by CALA Homes (East).

The luxury property developer recently announced its roundup of advice, trends and innovations to look out for over the next 12 months.

Most importantly, CALA believes the popularity of Part Exchange will continue to rise throughout 2015 – having already gained momentum over the previous year.

The part exchange service offered by CALA East guarantees, subject to status and acceptance, a fair market price for your property making the move as swift and easy as possible for those already juggling busy work and family lives.

CALA has further demonstrated its commitment to the demand for Part Exchange by dedicating a Scotland-wide informative weekend to the service, taking place on February 7th and 8th.

Other emerging trends CALA East pointed to are customer input into the interior design, German crafted interiors, outdoor living and urban regeneration.

Sarah Stanger, Sales and Marketing Director at CALA Homes (East) explained: “Customer feedback is one aspect which is truly starting to influence our design process – and we think this will become more of a trend in 2015.

“The customer feedback we have received suggests that open plan living and “lifestyle” living are some of the key factors of home buying today – and we have certainly ensured our properties follow this model.

“We are also going to be taking inspiration from Germany in the way our homes are designed particularly in regards to our future kitchen designs which will see the introduction of more loose, statement furniture – marking a departure from the current fully fitted designs. .

“Tying into “lifestyle” trends, we have also started to notice a revival of outdoor living, with gardens and outdoor ‘living areas’ increasingly seen as a key focal point of the property.

“The trend for patios will continue to increase with more and more buyers searching for the perfect external living space they can use for entertaining guests and hosting dinner parties.

Sarah also went on to explain the influx of interest in Brownfield sites and urban regeneration as a key property development trend for 2015.

She said: “There is an outcry for bespoke city developments – designed to augment the surrounding areas.

“The key trend here would be “family living meets urban demand” – and we are expecting a rise in the number of bespoke Brownfield developments to pop up in vibrant city locations.

“Regeneration and reform is something we mastered very well in 2014 with the completion of our Canal basin development at Ratho, and the “Best Brownfield” award win we received for our Albert Dock development in Leith.

“Our St Marys Gardens development in Perth located on the Kinnoull Hill Area – adjacent to the St Marys Monastery is also another fantastic example of this.

“We think property in 2015 will definitely follow this method of out of the box geographical thinking and we can expect to see urban spaces being transformed into functional and practical developments – with a luxury finish.”
