The pioneering mobile pizza wagon created by Edinburgh restaurant boss Tony Crolla has been named one of the 10 best value eating experiences at the Edinburgh Festival.

Tony’s family-woned Vittoria Restaurant branches in Leith and George IV Bridge and his La Favorita pizza restaurant on Leith Walk are already among the best know and best-loved eateries in Edinburgh.

Earlier this year he invested heavily in creating a mobile, log-fired pizza wagon – the first in the UK – to take the distinctive La Favorita brand on the road.

The eyecatching, bright red pizza wagon has already proved a massive hit at a host of summer festival and outdoor events, including T in the Park,with revelllers delighted to get restaurant qualtiy food at an affordable price.

Now its reputation has been further enhanced after influential foodie Tony Naylor picked out the pizza wagon as one of the top 10 budget eateries.

Billed as a list of “Edinburgh’s top cafes and restaurants to refuel for a tenner or less” the guide appears on the enormously popular Guardian website.
