Abseilers carry out a borehole inspection for Panton McLeod.Panton McLeod’s first-ever rope access inspection has made the headlines of the Coventry Evening Telegraph.

The water engineering experts carried out the inspection at a borehole in Coventry recently, which was the first-ever job the firm had undertaken with an abseiling team.

The unique operation saw rope access experts abseil 17m down into the borehole in order to take scrapings and samples from its inside walls. The samples were then passed onto experts from Severn Trent Water, who were able to check if there were any impurities or threats to the water – which is pumped from the facility to thousands of homes in the area.
