The one-day event is being hosted by the Scottish Business Resilience Centre, an organisation who aim to safeguard economic well-being across Scotland.

The conference, Innovation & Resilience: A Positive Future for Business in Scotland, will offer advice from a host of industry leaders, as well as a series of workshops, exhibitions and pop-up shops to provide bosses with practical guidance and information on how to better manage their businesses.

The Edinburgh based daily paper, which sells more than 30,000 copies every day, scooped up the story as a platform piece.

Mandy Haeburn-Little, Director of SBRC, said: “Never has it been so vital that Scotland’s businesses are prepared and ready for everything that will happen in 2014.

“All eyes will be on Scotland in 2014, with the Year of Homecoming, the Commonwealth Games and the upcoming Independence Referendum. So it’s incredibly important for businesses across the country to seize the unprecedented opportunities from this to maximise their potential.”

Tickets for the conference cost £25 plus VAT for SBRC members or £75 plus VAT for non-members.  A discounted rate is available to non-members who are booking five or more places to attend.
